A woman delivered a baby in the halls of a busy downtown Los Angeles civil courthouse on Thursday afternoon.
She was walking out of the courthouse when labor pains hit, and within a few minutes, she had delivered a baby boy, according AP reporter Anthony McCartney, who witnessed the birth.
"(Onlookers) cheered and clapped and everything," the reporter said. "She gave birth in the hallway, pretty much unassisted. … Paramedics were on their way.”
"Mom & baby fine!" the tweet read.
The mother and boy appeared to be healthy as they were taken from the courthouse by paramedics.

The birth, which occurred at about 11:42 a.m., was witnessed by a reporter for The Associated Press.
The woman told a deputy who called for aid that she was due two days ago.
