When sheep Guri born Easter Monday, the owners were almost paralyzed by surprise. It turned out that Kathy had carried on a lamb with two identical black spots around the islands, just like Batman. It was Aftenbladet.no that referred the matter first.
When the owners leave out the picture of the newborn on the Facebook group "Friends of Norwegian agriculture", they received several suggestions for names. But there was no doubt what name they would choose, it just had to be Batlam.
Batlam and Robin
Little Batlam was born at the Science Garden in Nærbø three days ago, along with his brother Robin. Currently, the namesake of the superhero still so kind as only a lamb can be. The first two days of Batlams life revolved mainly to drink milk and stay close to their mother.
- In the beginning we always try to hide the little lambs, so they should learn to drink milk, says Elin Ravndal Bell, marketing manager at Jærmuseet.

But after two days with family, Batlam been allowed to walk freely on the farm.
- He's out running, and seems to have gained many new friends.
Lamb is in fact not alone on the farm. In addition to many visitors, they have 11 sheep there. Lam notwithstanding, Batlam has a personality that is completely different than quiet and shy.
- He is aware that he is a little superhero. He proudly set up for photo-taking.
Batlam and Robin's something unique that old Norwegian spælsau.
Science Center is a science center and museum, and has a farm that shows the operation from the 1950s with livestock that were common in Jæren at that time. It is Vitengarden who operates the farm, but sheep are owned by Hege Vigre and Eric Kristian Hobberstad.
Time will show whether Batlam ever nab the bad guys and wolves in sheep's clothing.
